The End

This marks the last week of my Genius Hour project. It has been fun to research the players and create a website to help all of the people who are curious. Researching the players was the easy part, but doing the website was the difficult thing to do. I had never made a website before so I looked at a lot of YouTube tutorials. After a good bit of research I was ready to create my website. My website has four tabs. One Tab is the Home page which gives the viewer an overview of the project. I have an About tab that tells the viewer all about my project, as well as, my inspiration for the project. There is a Mock Draft tab that gives the viewer a look at where and when I think the players will go. The final tab is my Blog. I have created a blog in my website where I went into detail about every player in my mock draft and why I think they will go to the place I said. This has been a fun project and I am excited to see what this project turns into in the future.

What specifically have I been working on this past week?
With my mock draft complete I have started work on my website. The website explains why I wanted to do my genius hour project. It has a blog so that I can post to the people and tell them what is happening. It also has a mock draft where I put down where I think the players will go so that they get a better understanding of what players will go to their favorite team. I have been using Wix Website Editor to help me achieve my goal. Although I have not yet finished my website I am very close and plan to have it finished by Sunday afternoon.

What specifically am I working on now?
As of now I am trying to go ahead and finish the website. My goal is that when we come back Monday my website will be complete.

What specifically will I work on?
I am going to keep updating the website to that my viewers will get the best experience they can. Other than that my genius hour is coming to a close. It is cool to see all the hard work pay off.

Thirty-five, Thirty-six, and Thirty-seven

What specifically did I work on this past week? This past week I worked on the next three pick in my draft projection. The Bears, Jaguars, and Rams.
          The first pick up is the Bears. I had the Bears picking Jamal Adams with their first round pick so now I think they need a QB. I may be biased because I am a Tennessee fan, but I think that it would be smart for the Bears to take Josh Dobbs in the second round. A lot of people think that this guy could go anywhere from round one to round seven. I think he will go in round two. As a Tennessee fan I know how good this guy is. He has a great work ethic, he is a great leader, and this guy is smart. He majored in Aerospace engineering. He can learn the plays at a quick pace making him a quick starter. He may be smart, but he is also an amazing player. He threw the ball for 2946 yards this past season with 27 touchdown passes to go along with that. He had a 63 percent completion rating and 150.6 QB ranking. Although he is amazing at passing you cannot forget his 835 rushing yards to go along with his twelve rushing touchdown. You cannot forget about his one receiving touchdown either. This guy is versatile and an all around monster on the field. The bears would be smart to take this guy.
          I think that the Jacksonville Jaguars will need to take another receiving talent. They need a new tight end. With a Julius Thomas who is at the end of his career David Njoku the TE from Miami will be a great choice. He had forty-three receptions, 698 yards, and eight touchdowns. I think that this guy will be a star with a quarterback like Blake Bortles throwing the ball to him I think that he will be a very good tight end in the future.
          The Rams are in a tricky situation. After trading their first pick to the Titans they have not yet had a pick in this draft. Last year they took a risk on Jared Goff. Jared Goff was a huge bust. I could how someone would think that the Rams would pick another quarterback, however, I think that the Rams will not do this. Spending a pick on a quarterback two years in a row does not sound logical to me. I think the Rams need to keep trust in their new talent and draft a wide receiver to help out their new quarterback. I think that the Rams need to take Curtis Samuel the WR from Ohio State. This guy is a duel threat. He can run and catch. He ran for 771 yards and had 865 receiving yards. This could give last years number one overall pick a little bit of talent to throw to.

Round Two Begins

What specifically have I been working on this week? This week I have been working on the thirty-third to thirty-fourth pick in the draft. This was not an easy process due to both the teams having their most important need filled. Therefore I decided to look at some other positions that those teams need desperately.
           When I look at the Browns I see a team who was an Offensive Line of Joe Thomas and then just a bunch of no names. I think that if the browns are smart that they will take Antonio Garcia the Offensive Tackle from Troy. I had them taking a QB with their first pick so I think that if they are smart then they will take someone who can protect him. With their current tackle leaving I think the browns will take a player with the potential to be a healthy good player for years to come.
            I think that is the 49ers know anything about football then they will draft a quarterback with this pick. I think that they should take Baker Mayfield the QB from Oklahoma. Mayfield was one of the runner ups for the Heisman in 2016 and is one of he better talents in this draft. Baker threw for 3965 yards in the 2016 season while also throwing forty touchdowns and just eight interceptions.

Final Picks Are In

         What have I specifically been working on this past week? This past week I have been able to put together the thirty first and thirty second pick due to the picks now being set in stone after the super bowl.
         Who do I think the Falcons should pick? I think that the Falcons should take Malik McDowell the defensive tackle form Michigan State. I think that the falcons will need to take this player to build depth on their defensive line. With Dwight Freeney growing older the falcons will need a young player to lead that defensive line in the future.
        Who do I think the Patriots should pick? I believe that the reigning super bowl champions the New England Patriots will take Christian McCaffrey the running back from Stanford. One of the best running backs in this class the patriots could use a young talented running back to help with a team without an elite running back.

 What specifically am I working on now? As of now I am working on picks for the second round.  

What specifically will I be working on? I will be working on pick thirty-three through pick thirty-seven.

A New Page

What I did specifically this week was that I created a page for my genius hour project. After the first week I was able to gain sixty-eight followers and counting. I posted my first post and the post got sixty-eight likes. Right now I am working on more post as well as trying to gain more followers to increase the number of people I get my message across to. Next week specifically I intend to do much of the same with an end goal of two hundred followers. I plan to have at leas five more post by next week. Have a wonderful day.

Stats and players

What I have accomplished this week is that I have gone through and started my list on what players I think need to go where. To do this I analyzed websites such as NFL.com, ESPN.com, and CBS sports. As well as using my own opinion. Right now I am working on setting up my website to get the word out there. Next week I hope to have my website complete posting one player a day until the NFL draft. I hope to have at least fifty followers by the end of next week. Have a great week!
